A Florida Field of Dreams Gone Bad
By Richard Lentinello

About 8 years ago, while I was traveling through Florida’s panhandle, I stopped at GK Restorations to interview them for a story I was writing at the time. Specializing only in air-cooled Porsches, the many 356s and 911s under restoration were fascinating to see, but what I found really interesting and sad at the same time, was their backyard that was filled with vintage Porsches beyond repair. Some were so rusty and damaged that few, if any parts, were salvageable. With their potential all but wiped out due to severe corrosion, at least they made a fascinating photographic display. Here are some of the more thought-provoking images of cars that were just sitting there rotting away.
